Things I love. (3)

I love watching parents in public in that moment when their children are having too much fun, making too much noise - and just on the brink of drawing more attention to the family than the parent wants. Because I love seeing the happiness in children, I love imagining the love of that mother or father for their child, I love seeing joy. I smile - and wish I could tell the parent to let their child continue because their joy is brightening my day.

  1. Nice image, Neal. I see it all play out in front of me, and I agree with you. A child's joy is true, unfettered. Would that we as adults could experience the same thing. Oh, wait, we can. By observing the joy in children.
You know what I love about this series. It's so positive. Lots of blogs out there capture so many negative aspects of people's lives. It's great to read something like this, to be reminded of the wonderful things in our own lives.
Have you seen or read "The Book of Awesome," by Neil Pasricha? Your recent posts remind me of that book. Very uplifting.
    Nice job. Keep it up.

  2. Thanks Rick! I'm glad to see that you are enjoying this so far. I've never read the book, but I'll write down the title and consider it some time - once I'm done with the dozens of others books I want to get through (why can't we have a moratorium on writing for a couple years so I can get caught up?). But you seem to have gotten to the heart of the series already... so perceptive.
